Rich Heyman is running for Austin's City Council District 9 and needed a website to introduce himself to a larger audience and start collecting donations. But the Rich for Austin campaign is no average run of the mill political campaign - his website needed to impart that to his Austin Community. It is a showcase of his experience, and ideals while maintaining the "weirdness" Austinites are known for.
I worked with Rich to fine tune his campaign branding. We collaborated to create bold graphics with colors that stand out and symbols that are meaningful to his core constituency
What’s up with the bird symbol?
It’s a grackle, a bird native to Austin. According to the writer Edward Carey, “Grackles tell it like it is.”
