Adding Buttons and Links (note there is CSS in The Foundry Template that will change the colors of these on hover)
3 button styles — Primary (accent color, hovers to black), Secondary (hovers to accent), Tertiary (outline/no fill with hover effect); all hover behaviors are custom CSS in the template
Social icons match the primary button color and also have a hover micro-interaction
Global button styles (font, weight, shape, padding) are set in Styles > Buttons; colors are set separately in the color settings
Button shapes — There are multiple shapes available and custom corners
Fit vs. Fill — fit wraps around the text, fill stretches to the container
Link rules:
Internal links → open in same tab
External links → always open in a new tab so your site stays open
Link types available: internal page, external URL, file/PDF, email (with pre-filled subject line), phone number (tap-to-call on mobile)
Pre-filling email subjects on buttons is a handy trick to know which page an inquiry came from
Text links change to accent color globally; custom CSS makes them hover to black — may need adjusting if you use dark backgrounds
Alternative to colored links: make links bold instead, keeping them the same color as body text
