Setting up your main navigation

  • Pages panel = navigation — everything listed here mirrors what appears in the nav bar

  • "Not linked" section stores hidden pages (drafts, old pages, duplicates) that won't show in the nav

  • Homepage tip — some people remove it from the nav since clicking the logo already goes home; saves a nav slot

  • Keep page names simple and clear — no creative or cryptic titles; visitors need to instantly know where they're going

  • Adding pages — click the + button, type a name, and it appears in the nav instantly; drag to reorder or nest under another page as a drop-down

  • External links in nav — you can add a nav button that links out to another site (e.g. Etsy, Google); always set to open in a new tab

  • Deleting pages — easy; the only page you can't delete is the homepage (one page minimum required)

  • Duplicating pages — copies land in "not linked" so you can build them out before adding to nav

  • Anchor links — you can link directly to a specific section within a page using a hashtag (e.g. #bio); useful for long pages or jumping to a footer newsletter signup

  • Page order matters — put your most important pages first; keep the total number limited

⭐ Core advice: simple, obvious navigation always wins
