Setting your Social Sharing Image and Favicon:
Favicon — the tiny icon that appears in your browser tab; should be a PNG, under 50KB, and simple (a texture, color, or small detail from your work)
A missing favicon shows as a black box — looks unprofessional and signals a neglected site
Dark mode favicon — optional second version for lighter-colored icons on dark screens
If your favicon isn't showing, clear your browser cache or test it in an incognito window
Social sharing image — the preview image that appears when your site is shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
Recommended size: 1,200 x 630px; keep important content centered as edges may get cropped
For artists, a piece of your artwork works great — cropping doesn't matter as much as with text-based designs
A template is provided with crop guides so you know where to keep important content safe
Per-page social images can be set individually but it's a lot of work; collection pages (blog, events, store) automatically pull from the page's featured/thumbnail image
