Working with Courses (updated 7/29/2026):

  • Courses are available on all Squarespace plan levels — the tutorial library itself is built using the course feature

  • Course structure — overview/landing page + chapters (or modules) + individual lessons; organized like a blog or events collection

  • Overview page — fully editable with sections and blocks; toggle thumbnails, excerpts, button styles, and spacing in Edit Layout; colors adjusted in Site Styles

  • Adding content:

    • Add chapters (just a title/label) to organize lessons

    • Add lessons with a title, description, URL slug, thumbnail, and optional full-screen lesson video

    • Lessons can be published, scheduled, or saved as drafts

  • Lesson pages run on a modified Fluid Engine layout — add sections below the lesson header; course navigation panel can be moved left or right

  • Video options for lessons:

    • Native lesson video field (YouTube or Vimeo recommended over direct upload)

    • Embed block for other platforms like Loom (paste embed code as a code snippet)

    • Video block added as a section below the lesson header

  • Save and reuse sections — configure a lesson layout you like, save the sections, then drop them into new lessons and just swap out the content

  • Monetization — add a pricing plan (fixed price, subscription, or free) to gate course content

⭐ Core advice: courses take significant effort to build but are a great way to share techniques, process, or skills with your audience — especially if you want to create a passive income stream
